Why are you running for school board?
As the current secretary of the Chelsea School District Board of Education, I’ve spent the last 18 months deeply engaged in the day-to-day work of the Board and advocating for our students. As a parent, I see our district through my children’s experiences, giving me a clear understanding of what’s working well and where we need to improve. My professional background as a healthcare director equips me with skills in policy development, process improvement, budgeting, and organizational oversight—core responsibilities of an effective school board member. I also hold a Master of Science in Public Health, which strengthens my ability to interpret data, understand mental health and wellness needs, and recognize broader factors that impact students.
From a policy perspective, I believe our policies must be relevant, consistently followed, and designed to support all students. They should strengthen the district’s longterm stability and avoid setting precedents that could be detrimental in the future. My focus is on policies that promote student wellbeing, academic success, and responsible stewardship of district resources.

What have you done on the school board so far?
I was elected in November of 2024 to a partial term that ends in December of 2026. Over the last 18 months, I have served as a trustee and was elected Secretary in 2025 and 2026.
I serve on the Committees of Reproductive Health, Bond, and Personnel. Additionally, I am the school board liaison to the Chelsea Senior Center. As an elected representative, I participate in outreach such as Senior Student Interviews, student demonstrations, PTO fundraising, and collaboration with our local senior center, strengthening communication between the district and residents. I also work with our local water sports community, helping bridge communication with the district, educating members on bond funding, and highlighting the need for aquatic facility improvements to support future planning.

Do you have kids in the district?
Our family moved to Chelsea in 2020. I have twin daughters who will start 5th grade at South Meadows in the fall of 2026 and a son who will be a Freshman at Chelsea High School. We have been fortunate to have had very positive experiences in the district, and I am committed to ensuring that all of our students have the same.
