About Me

I live in Chelsea, Michigan on ten acres with my husband, Daniel, and our three children — Jordan, Mari, and Lexi — along with our two dogs, Max and Ginger. Our kids attend Chelsea schools, with one entering high school and two in 5th grade.

I first moved to Chelsea in 1989 and graduated as Valedictorian of the Chelsea High School class of 1993. I went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan, while also completing my paramedic certification and working part-time for Huron Valley Ambulance in both Chelsea and Ann Arbor. After college, I spent a year in California before moving to Colorado to attend graduate school at the University of Colorado, where I earned a Master of Science in Public Health in 2004.

My career began at Kaiser Permanente in the early 2000s, where I managed ambulance operations, led a nurse advice call center, and ultimately oversaw virtual care teams. In early 2020, I made the decision to return to my hometown and raise my children in the community that shaped me. Today, I work for Carilion Clinic, a health care system in Southwest Virginia, as a project manager implementing virtual care technologies across rural and urban hospital systems.

Our family loves spending time at our cabin near Ludington, especially paddling and enjoying the beach. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, crafting, and reading.
